how do you erase all the memory as if the computer is brand new if i don't have the original cds and stuff that came with the computer? :)

i'm thinking you need the model..but i don't know how to find it O_O


help please :[

Hi hkwon, welcome to GeeksToGo!


To perform a total wipe of the hard-drive I recommend a program called Darik's Boot and Nuke - you can find it at http://dban.org/


That said however, you will have a complete wiped and blank computer- no operating system.
You will need to find a copy of Windows, or consider installing a free operating system such as linux.

Do you have a recovery partition? Is there a 2nd hard drive icon in My Computer (usually D:) called "RECOVERY"?
