On my XP pc, I downloaded Java Version 6, Update 17 from the www.java.com page, got a file (jpinstall-rv.exe), clicked it, and it installed: and I got a message “Installation complete.” All ok.

But when I click Start\All Programs I do not see any indication of Java there. Should I not see something named Java? How do I confirm I have it? Thanks
