Formatting problem

I have an Acer Travel mate 5530. The harddrive is a SATA.

I have windows 7 on a disk. When I loaded it to install, I deleted my vista harddrive. (I clicked advanced -> Delete drive). Now the Windows 7 installer will not read any hard drives. I tried switching the sata mode from AHCi to IDE but this did not work

Hard drive can't be deleted.
