Two things have been happening as of late.
1)I noticed that lately whenever I open or close a Word 2007 document that the doc does not close out immediately... when I attempt to X out of the page, the document still stays open for 3 or 4 seconds and at the bottom of the document "Connecting to Printer" comes up, even though I have not sent any print commands. Could this be someone taking snapshots of my stuff or a hijacked setting somewhere or am I just being paranoid? If what I described is a normal occurrence in Word then I guess I just have never noticed it before.
2) Whenever I open up an internet session (with either IE8 or Mozilla Firefox, my browser does not immediately connect to the website like it used to... the screen can sit there for up to 10 to 15 seconds with it saying "waiting for google.com" at the bottom of the screen.

Just wondering if these two things have anything in common and would point to a problem.

I run AVG as an Antivirus and also have AdAware actively running.

Thanks for any insight or advice as to what to do!
