Windows Vista freezes (Laptop)

Hi, I can't think of anything different I've done to my laptop in the last few weeks, this just started happening somewhat randomly. I did download a video game - Aion - to my computer and when I tried to log into the game to adjust the settings, it blue screened. Since then, when I try to turn on my computer, it boots up, loads the desktop, and then no matter what I select to do, it freezes, anthing I try to open gives me (Not Responding), task manager won't open, and I can't click anything else. The screen essentially freezes, but I can use the mouse. Help me please!!!
