Hiya i cant seem to set a desktop background of my choice on my notebook laptop does anyone know how i can do it ive tried control panel no joy and right clicking on the desktop but it just doesnt come up with anything you'd see on xp or any of the old window settings.

1.] Right click on a empty space on the desktop and click on Personalize.
2.] Click on the Desktop Background link at the bottom of the window.
3.] Click on the drop down arrow menu to select from the list of available picture folder locations, or click on the Browse button to navigate to the picture folder location.

Changing your desktop background in control panel.
Click start.
Click control panel.
Then in the text bar at the top of screen click on the little black arrow to open the drop down menu.
Then select Appearance and Personalization.
Then select change desktop background.
Hope this helps.
