OK, brief history:

I'm on a HP desktop, running the French version of Vista. I (usually) access the internet via Orange Internet, (Orange Livebox) which also supplies my landline.

Over the past several weeks I've had increasing problems with the browser ceasing to function for no apparant reason, however it usually starts right back up again.

After getting extremely frustrated two days ago I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which quarantined and deleted 66 items. Since then my Livebox connection has become increasingly erratic, until this evening it stopped finctioning altogether. Now for some weird reason, I can still access the internet via IE (AOL) which came as standard with the PC, so I guess my internet connection is actually fine, and it is an issue with my Livebox.

Now, when I'm accessing a new page it comes up with an alert message every time:

Orange Internet has all my favourites stored on it, and after an hour I'm fed up of using IE... can anyone give me a hint on how I could resolve this?

Thanks in advance

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
