sluggish computer and firefox redirects me

Hey, my laptop seems to work fine for the most part, but sometimes it runs a little slow and programs lag. Also when on firefox is running every once and a while it will redirect me to a new page automatically and start doing some kind of "online scan" stuff like that. Could this be adware/spyware? also whenever on facebook playing a game that uses java if someone tries to msg me on facebook my firefox will crash.

also windows explorer crashes unexpectedly sometimes. its happening more often then i would like. i just restart it, but its still an inconvenience.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
