Help with upgrade

This is my rig that I've had for nearly a year:

Case - NZXT LEXA ULTRA LIGHT ALUMINIUM MIDTOWER

PSU - XCASE POWER PLUS 750W

CPU - INTEL CORE 2 Q6600 1066FSB SKT775

MOBO - ASUS SKT 775 P5KC

CARD - ASUS 512MB GEF 8800GT COMPANY OF HEROES

MEMORY - CORSAIR 6400 DDR 2 800 2GB

HDD - 74 GB HD SERIAL UDMA 150 10000RPM

OS - VISTA HOME 32 BIT

Im looking at a couple of upgrades. Thinking of doubling up my graphics card to two GeF 512mb 8800GT's and changing my memory to Crucial 2GB kit (1GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 memory module.
Im on a £250ish budget. Would these upgrades be worth the cash to keep my PC high end or do you think I could do better???

stick with the DDR2...add another pair of 512MB of the same speed as you have in there ...your 32 bit OS will only see 3.5GB of ram...go here for benchmarking DDR2 versus DDR3
for a boost in the video card check out the 5870 or the 5850 they run cooler...use less power...and they kick butt ...

Is this card:

Zotac GeForce 8800GT AMP! Edition / 512MB GDDR3 / PCI Express 16x 2.0 / Graphics Card the same as the ASUS 8800 I already got?

nope...you could wait for Lucid's Hydra GPU load balancer...
a GPU load-balancing chip that would function as smoothly as SLI and CrossFire, yet allow more leeway in mixing GPUs of different type

One last question:

I looked at the Radeon HD 5850 and it looks like a seriously good buy. But would I need to get the Asus version of the card to make it compatible?
