Ad-Adware will not function

When I try to load Ad-aware to scan firstly I get a drop down dialogue that tells me :-

Ad-aware has caused an error in unknown
Ad-aware will now close

When I close this dialogue the next one says:-

Anwendungsfehler

Exception EReadError in ModulAD-ADWARE.EXE bei 00021FOB
Fehler bein Lesen von memof. Lines. Strings. Fehler bein Einfungen Von RichEdit-Zeite.

Please make sense of this one and help
