I keep getting a MS Visual C++ Runtime Library error message that says:

Program:C\WINDOWS\explorer.exe

abnormal program termination.

I ran sfc \scannow with my winxp pro sp 3 disk and it didnt solve the problem. Any ideas for this computer neophyte?

Thanks alot.

My problem has been solved. I reinstalled IE 8 and did the MS updates and no more error notifications. Thanks to one and all and very Happy upcoming holidays!
