SATA HD wont come up on BIOS

My friend's computer has a SATA hard drive that wont come up on BIOS.
He as 2 IDES HDs Master and Slave he added a SATA. I checked all conections, making sure he didnt plug it on the raid connections. Everything looks good except I wont see it on bios nor on My computer. Thanks in advance for any help.

Usually because the SATA controller is off in the BIOS.
Is the drive spinning? Can you feel it vibrating?

Take a look in the bios.
I can't give specifics, but, I have found them turned off by default.
There will be a spot to enable it.

I think its my friend's old mobo(asus k8v se deluxe). I tested on my mobo and it show up on bios. Thank you all of those that replied.
