XP cut & paste, drag& drop, internet explorer all gone

Luckily I still have firefox.
Internet explorer, cut and paste, drag and drop all gone,
also all sound, taskbar icons and system restore.
Can't use printers or scanner.
Can't move anything into external hard drive, discs or memory sticks.
Unable to complete malwarebyte's antimalware. Tried the randon name versions a few times - all say runtime error 372 , so installs but doesn't launch.
So I was unable to complete all the tools in the cleaning guide.
Also tried pcworld techfriend, but the remote control thing wouldn't launch.
