Cannot access features in the Boot tab in msconfig

Hi,

This happens in my Vista Ult 64bit.
When I run msconfig I can change all settings, as expected, except for items in the Boot tab.
I can't tick any checkboxes, nothing responds to any user input.....

Any ideas why this can happen?
