I'm trying to get a Dell Optiplex 750 working again. The keyboard works great in BIOS and setup screens, but then fails when I reach Windows logon. I've tried Safe Mode, Last Known Good, and other USB ports, but none have worked.

Any suggestions? It appears to me that the USB driver isn't loading or is corrupt.

Thanks to all.

try downloading and creating a ubuntu CD
download the ISO
right click on it and burn onto a CD

Boot off the CD - Use Live CD - dont install on the machine
see if the USB works with this system....

at least that will confirm its a windows issue and NOT a hardware issue
