only this one? >>Worm Alcan.a I had 2 another worms.use the ACL(Access Control List) to make yourself permission to the directory.do it in safe mode as administrator. I've allready have turned back my system from a backup ;) got no problems anymore but how long :tazz:

howto:

-safe mode as administrator (not your account)
-go to the windows directory or
paste this: C:\Windows\system32 in adressbar in explorer (if you can't still see it)
-Tools >>> Folder options >>> View
uncheck >> Use simple file sharing [Recommended]>>apply
Posted Image
-now you have to made this folder as your own:
-right mouse click inside the system32 directory
-Properties>>Security>>Advanced
Posted Image
-Owner>>you have to chose your present account name (so it is the administratior account and not your own)
-now you have to check "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" to make permission to the directory
now you become a window security window in wich you will chose ok
after that:
Posted Image
you go back to the security bookmark in section "Group or user names"
now you have to chose your account (not the administrator in wich you already are)
Posted Image
if its not there chose "add"
in the new window you have to give the accurate name of your own account
Posted Image
Twoja nazwa konta >>YOUR ACCOUNT NAME
after you click on your accont name you give yourself "Permissions for.... ">>"Allow"
that's it I hope it's clear ;)

Work your way through the malware removal guide at the top of this forum where it says "Do you suspect a malware (Spyware, Virus, Trojan) infection? Please start here. " This enables folks to solve most problems on their own. If you still have a problem after that, post a hijack this log in the malware forum at

After quickly looking over your 'Hi-JackThis' report I discovered at least one worm on your system. Read the following:

Virus information
W32/Rbot-AL
Summary

Summary Description Recovery

Profile
Name W32/Rbot-AL
Type Worm

Aliases W32/Sdbot.worm.gen.g

Protection
Protection available since 14 June 2004 13:43:34 (GMT)
Included in our products from August 2004 (3.84)
Staying up to date
EM Library provides fully automated updating of Sophos Anti-Virus on a wide range of platforms. If you're using one of our enterprise solutions and aren't already using EM Library, check it out now. Users of our small business solutions are automatically updated by Sophos AutoUpdate.

I would strongly suggest that you update your Norton Antivirus program and then run a complete system scan. Make a note of the virus definitions date before and after the attempt to update the Anti-virus program. You want to make sure that the definitions date is changed to that latest date, if not, you may also have a virus that prevents Anti-Virus proram updating.

Here is the Norton Info regarding the worm I spoke about.

http://securityrespo...spybot.kho.html[/EMAIL]

I hope this helps you.

1.after you wiped the virus boot to safe mode then connect to the internet the go to trendmicro.com for free scan

2.check msconfig (startup) and regedit.exe from RUN then (HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/run for malicious entries)-this is to avoid running the virus on reboot

3.download a registry cleaner, i use WINASO registry cleaner, and use it.

4.download CCLEANER from download.com and use it.

5.IMPORTANT AFTER the '4 steps' click start>RUN type cmd.exe and hit OK (note of the .exe file extension),p2p virus changes the command to redirect to cmd.com and regedit.com and not to .exe files.

6.once the command promp is open type
attrib -a -h -r -s c:\windows\sytem32 (and hit enter)

or

attrib -a -h -r -s c:/windows/sytem32
7. then check the folder
