Hey there,

Let's give this a shot:

1. Click Start > Run > type regsvr32 /i shell32.dll and press ENTER.

2. Click Start > Run > type reg.exe add "HKCR\exefile\DefaultIcon" /ve /d "%1" /f and press ENTER.

3. Finally, download TweakUI and navigate to its Repair section. Click Rebuild icons.

Please let me know if this fixes your problem. You may also want to get checked for malware.

Hey blrjohn,

It's the least I can do for all the help the experts have provided me in the past. :)

Let's see if we can't tackle your drag and drop then:

1. Please download this file.
2. Unzip the files and double-click dragndropx.reg only.
3. Confirm that you wish to add this information to the Windows registry when asked.
4. You may need to reboot your computer to confirm whether or not the fix worked.

rshaffer,

Thank you for the kind words; I'm honored to provide the service. I wish I had gotten into this stuff on this forum sooner.

I have also applied to GeekU--I look forward to formally training for UNITE membership as well. :)

blrjohn, please do keep me updated of your status.
