unable to create new broadband connection in windows 2000 option missi

this is a mission critical issue i have a computer i need to set up for remote access but the only way to do so is the set the dsl modem to brige mode somthing i have done before but this is a older computer running 2000 service pack 4 and the new broadband connection option is either missing or not included in the install is there a way to add this functionality or does windows 2000 simply not support native pppoe
