My daughters HP laptop running on Vista was infected by the Taquito virus. She inadvertently opened the file and now her notebook wont start up. When you power it up, it begins to start, then fails after a few seconds, shutting down as in sleep mode. Nothing can be done then except power it off.

Any help/advice on next step would be appreciated.
