Yeah it's working fine. Just the noise is bothering me. I'm afraid that the Hard Drive might fail because I have school stuff in it. I really hope that the noise is not the sign of failing hard drive as some people claimed it is.

Being new drive that is highly unlikely.
Do you have any backups of the data? If not then it might be worth the time to make those backups now just in case.

I really wish that my tower case has two hard drive bay but unfortunately it doesn't =(
So I put my old EIDE HD inside a box and put it in my storage room. I can't afford to buy another external hard drive.....
I don't know what to do anymore.....

Thanks for trying to help me =)

Do you know any reliable program that could diagnose this hard drive??

I believe you already did that with the manufacturers diagnostics in post 4.

I do not recall all of the tests available, but you should run them all.
These tests are what they use to determine good or bad.

You could also try and contact them and see what they have to say.

I will do the diagnose when I get home tonight.

I contacted their(Western Digital) tech support. The support was clueless on the level of the noise. He only offered RMA at the end.....

First of all, I've finally confirmed with WD tech that loud seek noise is abnormal and that Caviar Black is supposed to be quiet.
I will send this HD back and get another replacement. Hopefully I will get the HD that works.

Hopefully they are going to help you with the shipping process since this is a new drive.

This is the 7th day since I'm using this hard drive. I haven't send it in back because I didn't have time. Tomorrow I will.
I've noticed that this hard drive is indeed broken. On the 5th day, it became so SLOW and the 7th day this morning, I got Blue Screen of Death. Right now, it's super SLOW....

OK have you got your data backed up safely?
You haven't added anything to it since this all started I hope?

Yeah, I have moved all important data to my usb drive.
Hopefully my 3rd replacement won't be horrible like this.

I really like how this guy in youtube is doing:
It's not fake right?!
Also what is RAID 0??
