funny thing is GeForce was not up to date. Ran the Driver Detective and updated all software. I did notice that my "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller" is not up to date. Tried to update it but not sure what to do with the information once it's downloaded.

Also have several updates that I can watch throughout the download process. Once the download is complete I must unzip them. Once unziped I have no idea what to do. Any ideas?

Well we are back looking at the OS system now.
Let me ask when you put new card did you boot into Safe Mode and uninstall all the ATI stuff?
Then shutdown and put new card in and rebooted into Normal Mode and loaded all new drivers
This would give everything a fresh install. If you have done thins then we need to look at the OS system being a problem.

Nope. Not the way I did it. I installed new hardware. Turned on computer. Loaded CD and installed. All in normal mode, not safe mode. So to be sure I do this right, please walk me through steps. Thanks for your help

That is a good question. not really sure how to check. Is there a process I can follow to see what is and is not working properly?By the way, should I remove old hardware from the previous graphics card? Below is an overview of my system from Driver Detective. As you can see, several items do require updating. Problem is I am not sure how to go about doing it. Per my earlier communication, I am able to download the update but it arrives in compressed file. I unzip the file but that is where I am stuck. Not sure what the next move is. Here is the update:

Here is the device manager. In terms of what is or is not working, not sure how to test that. Also including the latest crash info. Device_Manager.jpg

Uninstall all video drivers and start fresh. This will ensure only the current driver is being used with no possible compatibility issues.

I just don't know what else to look at. Everything is pointing to the OS system or drivers.
The blue screen viewer shows the OS but can you run a new whoCrashed report and attach it just so I can compare the findings again?
