Sony Vaio laptop battery error

hi, I have a Sony laptop VGN-FW139E - my hdd crashed and after reinstall of Vista home I get an error about my battery "the installed battery may not be properly connected to the computer or may not be compatible with the computer" - it worked before? I can not find any drivers to update! what do I do? the error is on the screen and only way to close the message is to hibernate and remove the battery!? Please help!
