Initially I got an error : Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

1. I tried to do a system restore in safe mode. was able to login to the profile but the files on the desktop is missing including the files in some of the folders on the desktop.

I am confused if they are really missing or what should i do to recover them????????
