For some reason, I cannot get this Windows update to install. Being told everyday that I have an update ready to install and then it won't is frustrating. I am running Windows XP. The error message says:

Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Security update for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2 (K8953297)

Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance for it.

Try downloading the file from microsoft.

If it still says the same update is ready.

Then reply back.

I tried downloading from Microsoft and got the same thing. It just will not install for some reason. I even forwarded the info to Microsoft, but who knows if they will even reply. Any other ideas, please?
