Hey all,

I have a problem.
My monitor keeps going black when i change the resolution in games.
It even goes black when i just start a game sometimes.
I updated my video driver but it even went black during the process (I already have the latest drivers). It doesnt come back up when i reboot my comp, but when i replug all the wires and reboot it some times does the trick... I just hooked up my old monitor it he doesnt seem to have any problems at all. What could be wrong with my monitor?? Its just 6 months old.

Thanks in advance

Well that was a smart test because it pretty much eliminates the computer as the problem. It does appear your new monitor is having problems. Check the obvious first. Some monitors have detachable cables so make sure they are not loose in the back of the monitor too. If you have access to another computer, you can try it on that machine, but since the monitor is only 6 months old, I would looking at contacting the maker's tech support for warranty repair or replacement. Depending on where you bought it, they may allow you to return it for a replacement.
