Good evening. I have a dell with windows XP pro sp2. When I finish using it, I shut it down and turn off the power strip. Then when I use it again, turn on the power, start the computer and off I go.
Problem. My wife brought home her old computer. dell windows XP pro. When ever I go to use the computer I again turn on the power and start the computer then have to press ctrl alt del then log in her password. I have the password. Is there a way to do away with the ctrl alt del step and then how do I get ride of the password log in step. It's steps we don't need and don't want.
Thanks, Dan F

I followed the link and instructions but I can't find "Change the way users log on or off"
When I get to User accounts, There are users and advanced
For users there is
users for this computer with add remove properties
Password for administrator with reset password
For advanced there is
password and .NET passports
advanced user management
secure log in

@ secure log in is the option to uncheck the use of ctrl alt del which I did. I just couldn't find the part to get rid of the login and password.
