Hi there.

I installed 1 GB of DDR2 RAM into a machine today. In the other slot is a 256 MB stick. Upon booting, the machine sits at a black screen with a blinking white cursor on top left for about 2 minutes before booting into Windows XP. Just wondering, would this be because of different speed memory modules or perhaps because one is single sided and one is double sided?

Any help appreciated.
