What tool did you use, so you have all backup in .dat format?

I didnt do it...You can thank my nephew for this one. Computer was all screwed up and he saved the hard drive on a flash drive. Now I cant open the files to retrieve what I want. Any suggestions for opening such a large .dat file? 1/2G is no problem, but 3.5G is!!! Do you know any programs that will do that?Do you need to know how it was done to extract the files. I can ask him.
