I've posted the error messages below - the first appears when I attempt to start in Safe Mode, while the second does when I try to start normally.
I've run CHKDSK from the Recovery Console (with the prompt CHKDSK /r, which said it fixed some hardward problems, and since the "CHKDSK /F" recommended by the error message didn't work), but to no avail.
I haven't downloaded anything for awhile, didn't update anything major recently, so I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue or a virus issue or what. The computer came with XP already, so I don't have an installation disk at all.
Any help at all would really be appreciated. I really don't know much at all about hardware stuff. I do have a lot of data that's important to work and such, and I'm pretty much just worried about that.
