hi, so now im looking for some free antivirus protection

ive looked at all the different ones and its come down to avg avira or avast, have tried avast and not too fond of the interface.
avira sounds to be better than avg, but when i go to the avira site it doesnt specify if it works on windows 7. it dosnt mention 7 as being compatible for avira on cnet download.com either

just want some verification that it works on windows 7 before i install it and run into problems liek i did wiht mcafee....
