I recently removed some Malware, namely the nail.exe junk. I had used Ewido to do this. Even though my PC now seems to be free of all Adware & Malware etc, ever since it's removal my PC boots very slowly.

It all appears fine until the Windows XP Load screen with the scrolling 3 blue bars. This is what is taking abnormally long. When Windows does finally boot, the Windows chime sounds all broken & stuttered.

Any help/advise you can offer ??

Work your way though the malware removal guide at the top of this forum where it says "Do you suspect a malware (Spyware, Virus, Trojan) infection? Please start here. ". This enables most folks to solve problems on their own. If you still have trouble after that, post a hijack this log in the malware forum at:
