I have recently purchased a new PC running Windows 7 Home Premium and I am trying to connect to a new External Drive .
I have tryed a Western Digital 640 Gb with no result and now a BUFFALO 1Tb with same problem . i.e. when I connect the external drive to the PC Windows advises that "this program might not have installed correctly " and " there is no disk in the drive " .
Can any one advise if there are similar problems in connecting an external drive to Win7 and /or if they can recommend an external drive that is compatible ?
Also if any Win7 users are thinking of purchasing a Buffalo , the MEMEO back up program incorporated in the drive can not install either and a message "MEMEO auto back up supports only Windows XP and Windows 2000"
Thanks for any advice , Greg
