I noticed a few weeks ago that I cannot boot up in safe mode. I hit F8 and i tab to safe mode, then it asks what OS and I only have one choice of XP. When I hit return it brings me back into safe mode or windows. Only way it will boot up is if I select Windows. Any ideas?

I had a virus and it wouldn't let me even open my Malware or Computer Associates to scan for it. SO I was going to try safe mode and I couldn't. But I did reboot into windows then opened Malware before it got ahold of it and it cleaned it out. But It still scare me that when I need to boot in safe mode I won't be able to.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
