keep losing internet connection

hi

I have my laptop connection wirelessly and my sister is the same, also there is the family pc which is a wired connection.
I have updated the routers firmware to the latest version but still we keep losing connection. it is not regular can be after 10 mins or can be on a couple of hours, but they all lose connection.

the modem is virgin cable
the router is edimax 6504n
o/s windows vienna
