Can you change settings for Acer laptop keyboard music controls?

Hello!

First off, can I just say that this is my first time on here, so apologies if I'm in the wrong category or something!

Ok, so I have an Acer Aspire 5735 laptop, which has function keys that can be used to control music during playback (just the basics, pause/play/skip etc). I used to use Windows Media Player, but this week I got sick of all the little problems I was having with it, and so downloaded WinAmp instead. Do you know if it is possible to change the settings for the shortcut keys so that they control Winamp? I have set it as the default player.
