Hi there, I just got a new desktop computer and wanted to use my LCD TV as the monitor for it. I have successfully figured out how to connect my laptop to the monitor, so there's nothing wrong with the monitor, but when I connect the monitor/tv to the desktop, and set input to PC, nothing happens. I'm thinking it's because I haven't set up the computer yet, and so can't tell the computer to recognize the monitor? Is there any way around this, or do I HAVE to find a proper computer monitor to set up the computer first, and then switch over to using the tv? Thank you so much for your help!

are you connecting it as a second monitor or the primary monitor?
