My dell dimensions 4400 wont appear on my screen

I was changing my computers proccesor heatsink cause it was the wrong way and after i did that my computer stopped working so now it wont work. the diognastic lights are all green except the D its orange. when i turn it on it goes on but my monitor wont read the computer so nothing shows up, and i tried looking at the pins in the cord and non are broken and they all are on so i dont know what to do. Ive also tried moving the video card but nothing happens it stays the same.If u have any info please help. ANd if u know where to get a cheap motherboard just in case please tell me thank u
