Hi everyone. I'm trying to help a friend get rid of malware that his girlfriend may have brought in with some music streams. These pests seem to always be accompanied by some malware scanner pop-up add. How do these companies get away with this? So anyway, his girlfriend is fooled into installing this scanner crap. None of this should be a problem, I'm thinking, since I installed an Acronis True Image license awhile back. I was shocked to discover Acronis was removed. What is going on?

She also claims that she never has these problems at home where she has cable service. I also have cable service and never have these problems. My friend has DSL. Does this make a difference?

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
