slow system afer printer istall

Iistalled a new Epsion printer NX415. Since install the system is very slow. I disconnected the USB cable just so it would not take 20 min. to type this. Help

Hi jeffdauphinee...welcome to Geeks To Go... :)
first unplug the printer from the computer...reboot and see if your system responds any better...
no change...
then use the add /remove programs in the control panel and uninstall the printer software...then reboot and test again

After unpluging the usb everything runs fine. however I would like to to keep the pinter installed . What next

try completely uninstalling the printer and the driver...then reinstall it as though it was like brand new to you...this time follow the guide step by step exactly in the order they want it done...
