To be more specific i want to see what kind of RAM is it compatible with (DDR,DDR2,DDR3) and if it is compatible with SATA2 Hard disk.If i can see those things it would be perfect.

Hard Drive type has no bearing on the memory.
If you want to find out what memory is compatible then Go to HERE and run the Crucial online scanner.
This will give you the exact memory configuration for your system.
You do not have to buy the memory from there, but write down the information and if you need assistance in purchasing the upgrade memory GTG can assist with suggestions also.
You can do this on both the laptop and the desktop.

Hard drive has no compatibility issue with ram memory. The motherboard has the deciding factor on what type of hard drive you can install.
Again i will ask you what is the make and model of the system you are wanting to put a new HD in to?
Is it a name brand system like Dell or HP?
If so then what is the model number?

Specs located HERE
Now is this the system you are trying to replace the HD in?
If so you need a IDE drive.

Is the desktop one what shows as a Dell motherboard?
If so then open it up and see if you can find a model number on the motherboard. We don't close topics in this forum so you are safe to take your time.
