this is my error message word for word

cannot import c:\docments and settings\jeb\mydocuments\downloads\no_sound_in_browsers.reg:not all data was successfully written to the registry. some keys are open by the system or other processes

Close all programs and try again.
If still some errors, try Safe Mode.

BTW, we're running already second page with this thread, because you never told me, the registry mod gave you an error, to start with

re-download it, then try it in safe mode, that'll probably help
you get into safe mode by tapping f8 constantly until you reach a menu which asks you for safe mode and other options.

Please download SystemLook from one of the links below and save it to your Desktop.

  • Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.
  • Vista users:: Right click on SystemLook.exe, click Run As Administrator
  • Copy the content of the following box into the main textfield:
    :reg
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
  • Click the Look button to start the scan.
  • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. Please post this log in your next reply.
Note: The log can also be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

OK, so the access to registry has been denied. This is not good.
I suggest, you reopen your case in malware forum and state just that.
