Hi, Im having troubles with my laptop i don't know if it has a virus or something. my OS is Windows 7 original

Problem 1): I cannot play any music with my windows media player, already downloaded codecs to play xivid and other music and video format but still cannot play them.

Problem 2): When installing games to my laptop ex: RED alert 3 it cannot complete its installation.

Thanks!

I've not had to install ANY codecs for media player. I have windows 7 home premium. Not sure what the issue could be. I would rather recommend vlc from videolan.org to play your content. It has all the needed codecs built into the player.

When you install Red alert, are you running the install with admin rights? Browse to the setup file, right click and choose "run as administrator".
