I began getting messages that my Trend Micro service had been shut down. then once in a while the "blue screen of death" would appear and my machine would restart. Finally when I restarted the computer I got the normal welcome screen but when logging on, the screen (where the desktop should be) is completely black. Tried restore, and also safe mode, but then I get a black screen with the safe mode scrip in the 4 corners.
Any ideas short of reformatting?
