I have windows ME, but when installing windows XP it says that mountmgr.sys file is corrupted. I just recently installed windows ME afew days ago, and my neighbor gave me the memory upgrades so I now have 224MB of RAM, insted of my original 64MB of RAM. What can I do to fix the mountmgr.sys problem so I can have XP. The disk that I have are 100% original and not some cheap, thrown together bootleg disk, so I know that it works, I have used it once before to put XP on this pc when I had only 64MB of RAM, but things went really slow, thats why I backed down to ME. Thanks for yalls help, id really appreciate it.

I just wanted to throw it in there that I check c://windows/system32/driver and I didnt see mountmgr.sys in there. My OS right now is ME, I did have XP but it messed up and wouldnt install due to the mountmgr being corrupted, but installing ME was no problem to install.
