Cant connect to AOL or any aol related site

I cannot sign into anything related to AOL. When I do it gets stuck on the "Connecting using TCP/IP". Then it will say "Connection to remote host timed out". So I thought I would reset my IP address, but when I went to cmd prompt and did the ipconfig release/renew it came back with the following error: "Media disconnected". Everything else seems to be working normal for me as I can goto any website via IE (EXCEPT for any AOL related site). So my problems are: Cannot connect to AOL and cannot reset my ip due to Media disonnection. Please any help! thanks everyone
