When installing Ubuntu I get a problem. When "Installing the Ubuntu base system" appears, it get stuck at 6% at the process "Retrieving bsdutils..." I have a eMachines etower 466is with 160 MBs of RAM and 4.3 GIGs of memory. The processor is intel inside celeron. Please help.

After a while, it says:

[!!] Install the base system
Debootstrap Error
Coudln't retrieve bsdutils. This may be due to a network problem or a bad CD, depending on your installation method.

If you are installing from CD-R or CD-RW, burning the CD at a lower speed may help.


I'll try this again following these instructions and give another post.

Yea. I just put it on a different disk and it worked fine.
