Wondering if anyone is able to help. Have quite new laptop - about 5 - 6 months old.

It has started to freeze on me - it wont even allow me to do ctrl alt delete - I just get a greyed out screen and then an error message about security options.
I then have to do a hard reset.
I have tried to run AVG anti virus but it hangs half way through. I even tried this in safe mode and it got halfway through and i got the blue screen of death which then rebooted and went back to normal mode.

This isnt just with the internet it seems to be using all applications. Would appreciate if someone could help.

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop
running Windows Vista and Office 2007
