i found 2 anomolous files on my computer today rpcnet.exe and rpcnetp.exe. i never used or installed anything from Absolute Software and all the research i did shows that this is part of a laptop lojack system that is preinstalled with some laptops. i scanned this files with every tool under the sun and got no hits so apearantly they are clean does anyone know of any common program that places these files in your system32 folder and why there is no event log entry for the date and time they were created. personally i think it may have been a windows update thing or somthing minor i installed but it is troubling me because i cant find any reasion they should exist on a whitebook that never had any bloatware installed in it. from the description of the service i belive this may be a security vulnerability.
