Hello.
I´m having an issue with OpenOffice since i installed Ubuntu on my desktop computer. I have two computers. The one that holds all the files (acts as a "file server") runs under Windows XP SP3.
The computer i normally use runs Ubuntu Hardy 8.04
I have configured Ubuntu to connect (read/write permissions) to the shares on WinXP PC through Samba. That works fine.

The problem i have is specifically with OpenOffice.
These are the steps to reproduce the error:
- Open an OpenOffice document directly from the Samba partition.
- Click on File -> Save As.

After that, OpenOffice crashes and the Document Recovery windows pops up.
This does not happen if i do the same with a local file. After this i thought it could be a permission issue, but, as i mentioned above i have read/write permissions on all samba shares.

I have been googling for an answer but i couldn't find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
