I have a Samsung sch i220 smartphone from MetroPCS & I heard somewhere that you can use a smartphone as a modem. Is this true? If so,How?

Yes, it's called Tethering. I don't know anything about your phone or service, so you'll have to check with your provider and see if it's available in your area. Typically, it's any additional cost above your standard data package.

Oh my service provider is horrible really so I doubt I can do it.
